Funding call encourages innovative collaborations on preventive health in The Netherlands

The Netherlands-based institute 4 Preventive Health (i4PH), a “strategic alliance” made up of four Dutch universities looking at the integration of technology and health, has announced the launch of its next round of seed funding, with the aim of advancing collaboration in preventive health.

Titled ‘Embracing a Transdisciplinary Approach to Drive Preventive Health Transformations’, the funding round is designed to support innovators in taking their ideas to the next level through the development of “tangible outcomes” such as white papers or literature reviews.

i4PH is seeking applications in four distinct areas of health: children and young people’s “societal challenges” and mental health; the living environment, including the built and chemical environment; the future of cancer; and the use of technology to monitor and support patients at home.

A maximum of €50,000 per proposal is available to applicants, with applications being assessed against criteria including the extent to which they promote collaboration, how well they fit with i4PHs overall strategy and the themes set out by the funding call, and how closely they focus on preventive health.

The institute highlights the funding round as an “opportunity for researchers to catalyze collaborative projects and drive impact in the preventive health domain”.

The deadline for applications is set as 18 October 2024, and more details on how to apply can be found on the institute’s website here.
