Medicare Royal Specialty Hospital, Dubai

Overview: The Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital in Al Qusais, Dubai, has officially opened, bringing together 83 doctors with international experience and “enhancing healthcare provision at the new hospital through extensive digitalisation”.

Why? To support “seamless, accessible, and flexible care and patient management”.

What happened? The new hospital introduces features such as instant appointment booking through a range of digital channels, remote consultations, AI-enabled diagnostics and a real-time disease management programme. Additionally, the hospital is to take a holistic approach to wellbeing which will include “digital innovations catering to non-medical needs”. As the fourth Medcare Hospital in Dubai and the fifth in the UAE, it will soon introduce organ transplantation, radiation oncology, and robotic surgery alongside existing services such as neurosciences, paediatrics, psychiatry, dentistry, home care, emergency care and more.

MEDITECH

Overview: In the US, MEDITECH has launched a new EHR-agnostic health information exchange network to facilitate health data sharing between organisations.

Why? The Traverse Exchange network aims to bring together data to offer a “comprehensive view” of patient history and enable patient health records to follow them wherever they seek care.

What happened? Traverse Exchange enables customers to connect with other networks, public health agencies, and data sharing networks, with an embedded record locator service making it easier to find patient information nationwide, and using a “federated query-based approach” to help protect patient privacy and security.

Cross Country Healthcare

Overview: US-based Cross Country Healthcare’s Intellify platform focuses on revolutionising workforce solutions.

Why? To meet clients’ needs through innovative technology, utilising AI and data analytics to revolutionise recruitment, offering improved accuracy and efficiency, enhancing candidate experiences, and driving business success.

What happened? The company embarked on a mission to streamline talent acquisition, facing integration challenges with legacy systems. Intellify is now deployed in 50 facilities with 500 users, streamlining recruitment for 10,600 assignments nationwide. Intellify was also customised for clients, providing ad-hoc reporting and real-time dashboards. This allowed leaders to make swift workforce decisions, improving staffing and patient care. The company is pursuing SOC 2 certification, ensuring data security and customer trust.

ITransition Group Limited

Overview: Itransition’s Healthcare Centre of Excellence delivers result-oriented solutions in healthcare management, CRM, telehealth, mobile health, and IoT, for outcomes like the automation of 90 percent of interactions and a 40 percent patient travel distance reduction.

Why? Itransition focuses on improving efficiency and outcomes for medical device and software producers and healthcare service providers, from startups to industry trend-setters.

What happened? Itransition developed a HIPAA-compliant telehealth solution for psychiatric patient assessment, facility placement, case creation, and reporting, resulting in a 40% patient travel distance reduction and a 25% patient wait time reduction. To optimise a surgery educational resource, Itransition implemented a PoC of an AI answer engine, saving 45 percent of time on answering visitor questions, with 90 percent of interactions becoming automated. For another customer, Itransition delivered a multi-tenant unified HIPAA- and FDA-compliant solution optimising Code Blue event management by enhancing event documentation, quality reports, inventory management, cart checks, and EHR integration. The company has also developed a range of mobile health solutions including a SaaS platform for a US health tech startup which now has more than 100,000 registered users.
