Presight to “set the pace of digital transformation” in Jordan’s healthcare sector

Jordan-based Presight, combining big data, analytics and AI to create positive impacts across sectors and industries, has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract by Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, with focus to “set the pace of digital transformation in the country’s healthcare sector”.

Through the contract, Presight will utilise expertise gained from previous healthcare digital transformation projects in Abu Dhabi as a blueprint aiming to help accelerate adoption of innovative technologies and data-driven strategies in the healthcare space, along with implementing solutions to enable actionable data insights.

The contract will also see Presight deliver a “comprehensive” public sector digital healthcare assessment and roadmap, and establish a virtual hospital command centre designed to provide tele-ICU, tele-radiology and tele-dialysis to other hospitals.

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship seeks to “capture the vast majority of clinical encounters on this journey towards a digitally transformed healthcare landscape”, with expected benefits including efficiencies around resources, enhanced quality of care, streamlined costs and improved access to services.

H.E. Dr. Firas Al-Hawari comments: “Digital transformation in the healthcare sector is no longer just an option but an urgent necessity for achieving national goals in providing comprehensive care. Initiatives such as these are crucial for advancing the healthcare sector and keeping it aligned with global developments. With this initiative, we shall develop a comprehensive strategy to establish a roadmap for future digital healthcare initiatives, that will be of immense benefit to the people of Jordan.
